Infertility & Fertility Treatment

This section is in the process of being developed. However we have begun by providing the following three resources that explain how – in some cases – a proportion of women with cystic fibrosis may find it more difficult to conceive than others.

Below left you will find a section from a webinar produced by Cystic Fibrosis Canada entitled “Fertility and Infertility in Cystic Fibrosis“. This is one of the best explanation of some of the issues that can affect women with CF who are trying to conceive.

Below right you can click on a leaflet entitled “How could we become parents?” which was written for women with cystic fibrosis and was produced by Barnardos in 2003 in conjunction with Nottingham City Hospital CF Unit. Please note that as it was produced over a decade ago, some of the information may now be a little out of date.

Finally, at the bottom of the page you can view a diagram showing the ways in which cystic fibrosis may potentially affect fertility in some females.
