What is CF? Explaining CF to your Child

In this section you will find a variety of resources that you may find helpful when talking about cystic fibrosis with your children.

Getting Nosey About CF

For younger children, many of our members have found the cartoon “Getting Nosey About CF with Oli and Nush”(click on image to the right to view) a great way of helping their children to understand what the condition is about. It is aimed at children aged from 4-8 years and has been produced by the CF Trust in the UK.

When a Parent Has CF Photo

“When a Parent has CF: Explaining Your Illness to Your Child” is an excellent leaflet that has been produced by the Cy stic Fibrosis Canada and is dedicated to the memory of Bob Phillips, who himself was a parent with CF and struggled with how to explain his illness to his son. It was Bob’s request that a brochure be created for parents with CF so that some of the issues he struggled with might become easier for other parents.
